Visit the Issue Tracker and search for your problem.

If someone already reported it:

2. Create a new issue

If your problem isn't listed, create a new issue:

Go to: Create New Issue

Info

Include detailed information - the more details you provide, the faster we can fix the problem!

Include this information:

Problem Description:

  • What were you trying to do?
  • What happened instead?
  • Is the problem consistent (happens every time) or occasional?

Your Setup:

  • Minecraft Education version (found in Settings → About)
  • Educator Tools version (check the pack name in Behavior Packs)
  • Platform (Windows, Mac, iPad, Chromebook)
  • Number of players in the world when the problem occurred

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Step-by-step instructions to recreate the problem
  2. Be as specific as possible
  3. Example: "Open Educator Toolbox → Click Teleport → Select 'All Players' → Click..."

Tip

Screenshots and videos help tremendously! A picture is worth a thousand words. Consider recording a short video showing the problem in action.

Screenshots or Videos:

  • Include screenshots if possible (helps us understand the problem faster)
  • Videos are even better for complex issues

1. Check if it's already suggested

Visit the Issue Tracker and search for your idea.

If someone already suggested it:

  • ✅ Add a comment explaining why you want it
  • ✅ Click the 👍 reaction
  • ✅ Share your use case (how you'd use the feature)

2. Submit a new feature request

Go to: Create New Issue

Label it: Feature Request

Tip

Describe your classroom scenario! Explain the teaching problem you're trying to solve - this helps us design the best solution.

Include:

What feature do you want?

  • Clear description of the new tool or improvement
  • Example: "Add a mute student feature that prevents specific students from sending chat messages"

Why do you need it?

  • Explain the classroom problem it would solve
  • Share your teaching scenario
  • Example: "During presentations, some students distract others with chat messages. This would let me temporarily mute them without removing chat entirely."

How would it work?

  • Describe how you imagine using the feature
  • Include where it would appear in the menus
  • Provide step-by-step usage example
📋 Example Feature Request

Title: Add "Mute Student" feature to prevent chat spam

Description: A tool that prevents specific students from sending chat messages temporarily.

Why: During presentations or focus activities, some students distract others by spamming chat. I want to mute them without disabling chat for everyone, since chat is useful for questions and collaboration.

How it would work: 1. Open Educator Toolbox → Classroom Control 2. Click "Mute Players" 3. Select student or team to mute 4. Toggle mute ON/OFF 5. Muted students see "You are muted" when trying to send messages

Use case: During presentations, mute all students except the presenter. During independent work, mute individual students who are being disruptive.
